Nerja is a town and beach resort in province of Malaga (Andalusia, Spain). It is situated on the coast, 54 kilometres from Malaga Airport.
In the past Nerja was small fishing village perched between the foot of the mountains and the sea. Nowadays it is expanded into a coastal resort town with a resident population of over 10,000.
Nerja has 16 kilometres of beaches - from quiet sandy coves such as Playa Carabeo to the towns wide main beach Playa Burriana. The resort is well featured among UK tourists.
