Municipality Istan

Municipality of Istan is located in autonomous community of Andalusia (southern Spain) and is included in Malaga province. The town is situated on the western side of Costa del Sol, around 70 km from the provincial capital (city of Malaga) and 13 km from the coastal belt.

The central part of Istan is very attractive, with its small squares leading off to tiny streets, several fountains, number of small restaurants, bars and cafes. Moreover, approaching the streets, there are beautiful open spaces and gardens covered with colourful flowers which standout against the fences and benches.

The main town landmarks are the fountains ("El Chorro fountain", "Canalon Pond" and others), San Miguel Hermitage, the Escalante Tower, the San Miguel Church, and Plaza El Calvario, etc.
