The autonomous community Cantabria is situated in north Spain. It borders Basque Autonomous Community (east), Castile and León (south-east), Principality of Asturias (west) and Cantabrian Sea (north).
The region of Cantabria offers extremely varied landscapes and climates. Cantabria has mountainous and coastal parts, both with important natural resources and beauties. In the mountain ranges there are natural preserves where still live bears, wolves and eagles, and rivers are full of salmons and trouts. In the coast area travelers could find beautiful bays and romantic fishing villages.
Cantabria autonomous community consists of only 1 province (with same name Cantabria). The capital city is Santander.
