Municipality of Alameda is located in
Andalusian province of Malaga (Southern
Spain). It is situated north of
Antequera, close to border with
Cordoba province, at 85 kilometres from city of
Malaga. Its altitude is 432 metres above sea level.
The municipality takes its name from the Бlamos stream, this being an area where many roads and pathways cross between
Malaga,
Seville and
Granada. In the Roman times
Alameda was strategic place because the fact that three of the most important roads of the period passed through the town.
