Municipality Arenas

Municipality Arenas is located in autonomous community of Andalusia, Southern Spain. The town is part of Malaga province and is 44 kilometres away from provincial capital Malaga.

It lies in the hills above Velez-Malaga at an altitude of 415 meters. The neighbouring countryside contains olives, almonds and vines.

The layout of Arenas has conserved a distinctly Moorish atmosphere and close by, on a hill reaching 700 metres above sea level stand the ruins of the Castle of Bentomiz.
