Municipality Boqueixon

Municipality Boqueixon is located in autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It is part of La Coruña province. It is situated 8 kilometers south of Santiago de Compostela, occupying a narrow strip that leads to the Ulla river. The municipality is bordered by municipalities of Vedra (south-west), Touro (nort-east) and Vila de Cruces (east).

The relief of Boqueixón is characterized by a series of valleys, all oriented toward the river Ulla, and by the heights of Monte Castelo, with 497 meters of altitude.

The most significant landmark, not only from a geographic standpoint, but also in historical and monumental aspect, is the Pico Sagro, in the parish of Lestedo. It is 533 m in height and the picture that can be seen from the summit is indescribable - with a single glance you can see the terrain around the mountain up to 250 kilometers.
