Municipality Tacoronte

Municipality of Tacoronte is located in the north-east of the island of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) and is part of Santa Cruz de Tenerife province. In the past it was a rural region but in the recent years most of the population shifted from rural to urban and tourism. There are situated old manorial houses, farms and vineyards that produce the well-known wine Tacoronte - Acentejo but main industry are businesses and tourism.

The central town of the municipality is town of Tacoronte, which is situated about 15 km west of the capital city Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 4 km from Tenerife North Airport.
