Municipality Partido Judicial de La Laguna

Partido Judicial de La Laguna (known allso as San Cristóbal de La Laguna or only La Laguna) is a city and municipality of the northern part of the island of Tenerife in the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, on the Canary Islands.

The city is third-most populous city of the archipelago and second-most populous city of the island (it was the ancient capital of the Canary Islands). It is suburban area of the province capital city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and they are physically linked. There is a big (30,000 students) University in the town - the University of La Laguna.

San Cristóbal de La Laguna is visited from many tourists. La Laguna is considered to be the cultural capital of Canaries. The town historical center was declared World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 1999.
