Municipality Ribadavia

Municipality Ribadavia is located in autonomous community of Galicia, North-western Spain. It is part of Ourense province. The region is wine center and wine producer - one of the best in the region of Galicia.

Ribadavia is an inland town, situated 30 minutes away from the city of Ourense. It is the capital of the comarca of the Ribeiro. It lies on the right bank of river of Miño.

Town of Ribadavia is very attractive for the tourists. At the entrance to the medieval quarter there is the ruin of an old castle. Among main tourist point of interest is the town square which is fully enclosed by 3 and 4 storey buildings with colonnaded 1-st floor levels. There are several offices, cafe bars, some shops and a tiny church.

Ribadavia has a also very attractive Jewish quarter and a few other historic places of interest.
