Province of Las Palmas covers eastern parts of
Canary Islands. It includes the islands of Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote, and 6 minor isles: Alegranza, Graciosa, Montaña Clara, Lobos, Roque del Este, and Roque del Oeste.
The provincial capital is the city of
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (known also as
Las Palmas), on the island of Gran Canaria, which is also one of the capitals of the
autonomous community Canary Islands (shared with
Santa Cruz de Tenerife).
