Autonomous Community
Region of Murcia is located in the southeast part of
Spain, between communities of
Andalusia and
Valencian Community, on the Mediterranean coast.
The autonomous community consists of only one province with same name
Murcia and the capital is
city of Murcia.
Murcia is mainly a warm region which has made it very suitable for agriculture. The region is a major producer of fruits, vegetables, and flowers for Spain and for Europe. There are excellent wineries near the towns of
Bullas,
Yecla, and
Jumilla, as well as olive oil near
Moratalla.
